Professional editing and translation
I am a freelance editor/writer and translator of many years experience, and was previously a teacher of world literature, creative writing, English composition and comparative literature and French at the universities of California (Berkeley), Michigan and Copenhagen, and a past editor of two international journals, one in literature and one in dental education.
My editing and writing duties have included press releases, advertising copy, reports, manuals, dissertations and books. One of my specialties is turning prose of non-native English speakers into academic or professional language of the highest international standards for publication.
I translate Norwegian, Danish, French, Italian and occasionally Portuguese into English (US or UK) both directly for end-customers and through agencies. While I welcome assignments in all fields and styles, my major specialties over the past 15 years have been in marketing, pharmaceuticals, transportation and contracts.
